A textile and material designer based in Helsinki, working with woven textiles, garment patternmaking, and material-led design. My work focuses on structure — how textiles are constructed, how they function, and how they relate to the body and to space.
I hold a Master’s degree in Fashion, Clothing and Textile Design from Aalto University and have worked in weaving mills in Italy and Japan. My background spans both industrial textile production and small-scale, craft-based processes, allowing me to work across different contexts and stages of a project.
My approach is practical and material-driven. I typically begin with the textile itself; a yarn, a weave structure, or a technical question; and develop the work through testing and making. Color is an integral part of my process, informed by theory, dyeing, and material research.
In addition to textile and product design, I am available for costume and small-scale set design, particularly for projects where materials, movement, and spatial thinking are central. I work independently and in collaboration, offering design, material development, and consultancy for fashion, interiors, and research-based projects.
