This series of drawings was made during a residency and is based on observing rhythms of lines in the everyday city environment. While walking, I noticed repeating horizontal and vertical patterns in architecture, shadows, and surfaces, and translated these observations into simple line compositions. The drawings explore rhythm, repetition, and empty space, reflecting on the same structural logic found in weaving and loom-based textiles. Made with felt-tip pen and watercolour on paper, the works sit between drawing and textile thinking, and could be directly translated into woven structures.
